Blue Bottle is really amazing. The owner really went against the grain when everyone else was over roasting coffee, he went back to the basics and roasted coffee to bring out the peek flavor.

When I served coffee in Denver, CO I remember someone commenting that we were the 'Blue Bottle of Denver' - at the time that meant pretty much nothing to me, but I remember how flattered the owner was.

Everything I have heard about Blue Bottle from that point on (mostly from my former boss) points to them being one of the best light roast micro-roasters on the planet. A friend of mine visited there when she was in San Francisco and sent me a picture of a latte they made. Perfect rosetta.
